Winterbourne Down Carnival Charity Concert

The Winterbourne International Academy Senior Choir recently held a concert to raise money for our Carnival. The Winterbourne Down Methodist Chapel was absolutely full.

We had people of all ages there and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the music. The choir entertained us with lots of songs from the shows, which had us mouthing the words along with them, as well as some Christmas tunes.

Several people commented to about how lovely it was to have the Academy students singing solos and duets for us - we all wished we had the confidence and talent to do the same. It was a delightful evening’s entertainment which raised £294 in aid of our Carnival – this year’s Chosen Charity is “Help for Heroes”. On behalf of the Committee and Winterbourne Down residents we’d like to say a big “thank you” to everyone involved with the concert, we really enjoyed your visit!
