History of the Carnival
The Carnival was started by All Saints and the Methodist Church in 1988 when both churches first decided to have a fete on the same day to help join the churches together in a more friendly way. The churches remain the main sponsors of the Carnival which has now expanded to fill Down Road from the churches down to the Cross Roads by the Cross Hands Public House.
Each year local charities are invited to take tables on Carnival Day to raise funds for their own causes. At the same time a whole range of exciting events are organised to keep the whole family amused for the day.
